Colada Morada

This is a typical delicacy of the time: #ColadaMorada!



Ingredients:

  • 5 litros de agua más 1 litro adicional

  • 1 bunch of herbs (orange leaves, myrtle leaves and lemon verbena leaves)

  • 14 ozs of naranjilla pulp (lulo)

  • 2 cups of blackberries

  • 2 cups raspberries

  • 1 cup purple or black cornmeal

  • 6 cinnamon sticks

  • 5 cloves

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 12 ozs of shredded paper or sugar

  • 2 cups of pineapple diced

  • 2 cups of strawberries on wheels

Preparation:

  1. In a large pot with 5 liters of water, place the tied herbs and spices for 15 minutes, then add and cook the lulos. Blend them when they are smooth and reserve their juice.

  2. In a blender with a little water, blend the blackberries and raspberries. Reserve the juice.

  3. In a liter of water, dissolve the flour and you need to sift it.

  4. Remove the herbs from the pot and sift the water, then add the sifted flour, the naranjilla juice, blackberry and raspberries and spices. Then add the grated paper or sugar.

  5. Mientras hierve, le coloque la piña en cuadritos mientras revuelve constantemente por 30 minutos. Deje enfriar y licúe con hielo en licuadora. Coloque fresas picadas por encima y sirva.
